Hallway Storage That Doesn’t Eat Your Space (Sliding Doors)
Hallway Storage
Made-to-measure sliding door storage for hallways.
Hallways get messy fast because they’re rarely designed with proper storage in mind.
Most end up as a dumping ground for coats, shoes, bags, school stuff, the hoover, the mop and everything else that doesn’t really have a home.
Why Hallways Become Cluttered
- There’s nowhere “proper” for everything to live
- Standard units stick out too far
- Hinged doors clash with walkways or front doors
- The hallway feels narrower than it needs to
A made-to-measure sliding door setup fixes that properly - shallow where it needs to be, full height if required, and with no doors swinging into the space.
Why Sliding Doors Work Better In Hallways
- No swing clearance needed
- Shallower layouts are possible
- Cleaner built-in appearance
- Everyday clutter hidden behind clean doors
What Can Be Built Into A Hallway Wardrobe?
- Coat hanging sections
- Shoe shelves or pull-out shoe storage
- Drawers for keys, hats, gloves and dog leads
- Tall storage for hoovers, ironing boards and mops
- High shelving for less-used items
Because everything is made to measure, we also plan around skirting boards, awkward walls, radiators, meters and alarm panels.
This Installation
For this project, the customer wanted proper hallway storage without losing walking space. We designed a shallower-than-standard sliding wardrobe with hanging rails, shelving and a tall utility section for cleaning equipment and household items.
Result: a hallway that stays clear, tidy and practical day-to-day.
Door Finishes To Suit Your Hallway
- Mirror doors to reflect light and brighten darker hallways
- Coloured glass for a clean modern finish
- Wood-effect panels for warmth and texture
- Frame colours matched to your home style
If your hallway is crying out for proper storage, we can design a made-to-measure sliding door solution that keeps the walkway clear and hides the clutter properly.
