Fitted Wardrobes for Tall Ceilings (Floor-to-Ceiling)

FLOOR TO CEILING INSTALLATION

Tall Ceilings? Standard Wardrobes Always Look “Unfinished”

If you’ve got higher-than-average ceilings, most off-the-shelf wardrobes only reach around 2.0–2.4m. That leaves:

  • A big dusty gap at the top
  • Wasted storage potential
  • A wardrobe that looks like furniture rather than built-in

A made-to-measure fitted wardrobe fixes that properly — built to your exact height so it looks seamless from floor to ceiling.

This Install: Almost 2.8m High — Still Floor to Ceiling

On this project, the ceiling height was close to 2.8 metres. Instead of leaving a gap or boxing it in awkwardly, we designed the wardrobe to run right up to the ceiling for a clean, fitted look.

That gives two big wins:

  • More storage (especially for less-used items up high)
  • A better finish (it looks built-in, not “placed there”)

Why Floor-to-Ceiling Wardrobes Are Worth It

When you go full height, you get:

  • Maximum storage in the same footprint
  • A cleaner, more premium look
  • No top gap collecting dust
  • More flexibility inside (rails, shelving, top storage zones)

A Great Finish for Bright Bedrooms: Mirror Doors

Mirror panels are ideal in bedrooms with tall wardrobes because they:

  • Reflect light and make the room feel bigger
  • Keep the look clean (especially on larger door spans)
  • Work brilliantly with warm wood surrounds and neutral rooms
